2022 Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex Nef Stadium Project
THE WORLD'S LARGEST STADIUM ROOFTOP PROJECT
According to the agreement made between Enerjisa Energy and Galatasaray, SCHMID PEKİNTAŞ solar panels installed on the roof of Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex Nef Stadium have enabled the stadium to produce its own energy, earning it a recognition in the Guinness World Records Book. The solar power plant, which made it into the record books, has become the world's largest stadium-roof solar power plant in terms of installed capacity.
ELECTRICITY EQUIVALENT TO THE CONSUMPTION OF 2,000 HOUSEHOLDS WILL BE PRODUCED
Covering a total area of 40,000 m2 with over 10,000 solar panels, the facility will produce approximately 4,650 MWh of electricity annually, equivalent to the consumption of about 2,000 households. This facility, which generates electricity from a 100% renewable and clean energy source, will prevent approximately 3,250 tons of CO₂ emissions each year. In doing so, it will contribute to the protection of nature by preventing the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, which 200,000 trees would clean over 25 years.
